Weekly Announcements
Calling All Tutors – Our Tutoring Program will begin in November and run through the middle of May. We would like to have one tutor for each child. Each tutor helps their child do homework, read a story, and play a board game if there is time. The children we help are in grades 1-3 and are recommended by their teachers as needing extra attention. We bring the children to church on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00-3:30 p.m. If you would like to be part of this important mission program, please contact Liz Renwick

We have a new Echo/EPYC choir director, Melinda Benson, who comes to us with much training, expertise and enthusiasm. She is currently the adult choir director at Pencader Presbyterian Church. Come and welcome her at the first practice on Wednesday, January 11: 5:30 p.m. for EPYC choir (6th thru 12th grade) and 6:00 p.m. for Echo choir (1st thru 5th grade), in the choir room. New singers are welcome!

Meeting Ground Collection – current needs are: Toilet paper, paper towels, tissues; Cereal/2% milk/Hot Chocolate; Coffee, tea bags, sugar, creamer; Frozen juice (orange, preferred); Large containers of spaghetti sauce; Ketchup, mayo, mustard; Mops, brooms, cleaning supplies; Trash bags (large kitchen and 42 gallon size); Body wash; Pump hand soap; Canned food; Aluminum foil, plastic wrap; Dish and laundry soap

| ♦We host the rotating shelter the week of January 30. We need many volunteers in order to make this week a success. The sign-up chart for the shelter is in the Narthex so please check it out and sign up where you can help. | On SOUPER Bowl Sunday, February 5, our youth will be collecting cans of soup and monetary donations for Settlement House (the Men’s Shelter). This is part of a nationwide youth effort to feed the hungry and help the poor in their local area. Last year 239 groups across our nation collected $427,269 which stayed in their own communities. Please help our youth by bringing your donation so they experience the joy of serving others. |

♦SAVE THE DATE: Circle these dates because you are not going to want to miss this year’s Lenten study based on “Courageous”, a movie about men and their relationships with God and their sons. The study will begin with a night at the movies, Sunday, February 26, at 6 p.m., with a showing of the motion picture “Courageous.” The study will then begin on Wednesday, February 29, at 6 p.m., and last four weeks (no study on March 21), culminating on March 28. Look for a display in the narthex and be part of this Christian family revolution!
